Middle Hill sits approximately 2.5km to the south east of the historic village of Elsdon in Northumberland. The boundary of the Northumberland National Park (dismissed as nothing more than, "Lines on a map" by Air Farmers spokesman Bob Morgan) runs along the northern edge of the site. You can read what the Northumberland National Park Authority have to say about the area around Elsdon here.

Elsdon was historically the capital of Redesdale in the "Middle Marches" in the days of the Border Reivers and as such has a depth of historical character unmatched in the region. We believe that the proposed development by Middle Hill Renewables Ltd to erect nine 125 metre turbines on Middle Hill will absolutely destroy the unique nature of this very special place and subsequently, have a very real impact upon the commercial viability of the area for generations to come.
